What I get called for

Rental car or your own. I can open it and, if the key is really gone, cut and program a new coded key on the spot — no tow truck for most models.
Old locks near the sea break keys. The broken part has to come out without ruining the cylinder, then you need a new key. Same visit.
Usually the answer isn’t a new lock — it’s rekeying the existing one. Cheaper, and just as final.

Before opening any door I’ll ask you to show you have the right to be there — a booking confirmation on your phone, a rental agreement, an ID matching the address, or someone from the building.
It takes thirty seconds and it’s what separates a locksmith from a burglar. Any professional will ask.
